ABOUT US

VartRecords Studio was created by Vlad Sarkisov in 1999 in San Jose, CA, and now studio located in nice and cozy area of Modesto, CA.

Vlad – Musician, Sound Engineer, Music Arranger, has been owned VartRecords Studio since 1999 and has been professionally recording and mixing since 1980. Vlad is also a multi-instrumentalist with a very strong playing and recording background. He recorded, mixed, co-produced more than 15 albums, arranged music for seven albums, and played for more than five albums of Bay Area composers, musicians and songwriters.

Many years Vlad has been dealing with music arrangements, teaching piano and working with students, providing high quality CDs for their music auditions, competitions, examinations and live performance.

Vlad have been engaged in music for more than 40 years, while been working as a Petroleum Engineer (Russia, 1974-1989), Airline Cargo Manager (San Francisco, CA 1992-1995) and Software Engineer (San Francisco Bay Area, from 1995 till now). As a musician, have played piano/keyboards, trumpet, saxophone and guitar since 1968, and as musician have been in many pop and jazz bands in Russia: "Diogen", "Diez", "Three Flames", "Express", "Simurg", Jazz Sextet at V.Mustafa-Zade Jazz Studio.

The name of the studio was formed in honor of beloved cat Vartik, who was the most benevolent and enduring listener for many years. He used to attend each and every rehearsal and recording session, and usually sang along with a singer. He never left the studio until the last note has played and the last equipment light went off. So, now studio holds his name and his silhouette presented in studio's logo.
